I remember this quote I came across by F. Scott Fitzgerald. It goes:-

“Things are sweeter when they're lost. I know--because once I wanted something and got it. It was the only thing I ever wanted badly, Dot, and when I got it it turned to dust in my hand.”

May Allah give all of us the courage to chase our dreams, but more than that, may He give us the wisdom to see which of our dreams are worth chasing (or worth facing our fears for, as you've pointed out).

Thanks Lubna! Sorry for the late reply here. I haven't actually had to visit (my own site!) for a while.

I understand what you mean. Sometimes, the dream becomes such a big part of you that to realize that dream, would actually make that part of you disappear. Ironic, I know.

And if the dream goes wrong... that doesn't even bear thinking about! So we stick to the idea that "I can't lose the game if I never play".

It takes courage to 'play the game'. I pray that Allah always gives me that courage.

I think one of the most problematic fear there is out there is fearing your dream. Not the pursuit, but the dream itself.

It isn't the fear of failure, but the fear of giving it everything you've got and then not having it turn out the way you had pictured it in your head. Maybe the dream was better in your head than in reality. Maybe it was, as all dreams are, more perfect. Even worse is the fear of accomplishing it and then finding out it isn't all that you expected it to be.

I think this fear is the most crippling. People will always hold back, no matter how close they are to realising their dreams, because if they went ahead with it, it might taint that perfect idea they have in their heads. So they stick to the idea, and stay content with that.

It's terribly sad, but I actually understand it.

As always, good post Lutfi!

Hi Lainey,
I'm afraid I'm not the first to say the display isn't so great for this line of laptops:
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Samsung-Serie-7-700Z5A-Notebook.65554.0.html

http://www.engadget.com/2012/01/04/samsung-series-7-chronos-review/

http://forum.notebookreview.com/samsung/623739-truth-samsung-chronos-bad-display-screen.html

Like I clearly and honestly said above, I haven't touched the laptop yet and I'm only telling you what I read in these reviews. There ARE reviews that say the screen "isn't that bad", but ALL agree that the viewing angles are horrible.

I don't think I mentioned that I'm an IT savvy person anywhere. This is just a personal blog. Please look at the reviews I linked to if you would like to see "IT savvy" reviews.

Thanks for the comment.

Samsung display is horrible? Gosh, you are the first to say such thing. They have the BEST display in the market with SuperBright technology. I think you out to check the facts before you comment on such thing. It really reflects badly on you as an IT savvy person

Hahaha, you just don't want me to give you homework! I don't fully understand the saying though? How does it relate to what I was saying? It must be because of the translation draining the impact like you said.
